Gift Processing Associate

Summary of Position

The Gift Processing Associate is responsible for the processing of all gifts to ACWIS. This includes the day-to-day entry of gifts into the CRM database and processing of all contributions and donor information received by ACWIS. 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: 

    • Responsible for processing all gifts and entering related information into CRM system. 
    • Update and maintain donor database records. 
    • Create donor account file for all new donors.
    • Reconcile daily cash logs and batch reports to ensure accuracy against bank deposits. Ensure bank deposits are credited on a timely basis.
    • Generate correspondence including, but not limited to, pledge reminders, acknowledgements, tax receipts in accordance with IRS regulations. 
    • Creating and assigning of codes for various events, mailings and revenue functions. 
    • Liaise with various departments and staff across organization to clarify and/or obtain donor information. 
    • Compile supporting documentation for annual financial statement audit. 
    • Assist Finance staff on projects and reports relating to gifts. 

Skills and Abilities Required: 

    • 1-2 year’s work experience preferred. 
    • Experience and knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge/NXT software preferred.
    • Strong computer skills, including experience in all MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).  
    • PowerPoint a plus. 
    • Excellent written, oral communication and proofreading skills.
    • Grammatical & numerical accuracy essential.
    • Ability to adjust and be flexible in meeting changing priorities, work needs, and demands.
    • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate efficient time management skills. Ability to prioritize workload.   
    • Organized with attention to detail, with strong follow-through ability and pro-active initiative. 
    • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills; articulate and comfortable dealing with staff and with donors at all levels.
    • Energetic and resourceful team player.
